In 2000 we dared to dream and with the hand of friends, teachers and collaborators started endeavour, their dreams became ours, and together we sow and harvest the fruits of our efforts.
Fifteen years ago we asked ourselves” What else we can do for the workers and the area of influence?” We decided to create a foundation mainly or initially with the question “What happens with the children as soon as the mothers finish their maternity leave?”, because usually at 3 months they have to return to work and generally do not have anyone to leave the children with. In the year 2000 we decided that our first project would be a daycare center; We started with 48 children in April, by December we finished with 108 children. The workers began to have trust in the work we were doing taking care of children so we started growing, and today we have 582 children.
We continued to grow and we were worried about where the children would go after the daycare, then we added pre-school and primary, due to the fact that while we took care of the children we were so facinated with them that we fell in love and could not let them go. The children are picked up at bus stops near their homes, they have transportation, breakfast, the babies have diapers, milk, everything they need. They finish at 4 pm in the afternoon, so the hours coincide with the return home of the parents. The children here have all the school services with licensed teachers, but they also have complementary activities such as music, taekwondo and English, by the third grade they receive 8 hours a week with native teachers, so we are guaranteeing that their possibilities for their future are much better than those of their parents.
